Privacy Policy

Star Delta Software Ltd ("we") is the data controller for landdata.uk. This explains what personal data we handle and why. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookieless usage analytics (Umami) and, where enabled, Google Analytics, to understand traffic. No advertising profiles are built by us.
• Purchases: when you buy a report, payment is handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd. Paddle collects your payment details and email; we receive your email address and order reference to deliver the report and provide support. We do not see or store your card details.
• Report content: reports include open data about a postcode area, which can include the names of property owners drawn from the public HM Land Registry record. This is published public data; we present it for the postcode you request only.

Why, and the legal basis

We use your email to deliver your purchase and provide support (performance of a contract), and aggregate analytics to run and improve the Site (legitimate interests). We do not sell your personal data.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors needed to run the service: Paddle (payments), our analytics and email providers, and our hosting. Each handles data under their own terms.

Retention

We keep order records as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations, and analytics in aggregate. You can ask us to delete your personal data where we are not required to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, and can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
