About landdata.uk

landdata.uk gathers the UK's official open data about a place — sold prices, crime, schools, flood risk, broadband, demographics and more — and presents it, by postcode, in one clear report. Free to browse.

Who runs it

landdata.uk is operated by Star Delta Software Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 14943373). You can reach a real person at hello@landdata.uk. When you buy a report, payment is handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.

Why it exists

The data that tells you what an area is really like is already public — but it's scattered across a dozen government services, each in its own format, most of them awkward to search by where you actually live. We do the gathering, joining and plain-English presentation so you don't have to. That's the whole product: careful repackaging of trustworthy public data.

What we are not

We are not an estate agent, a mortgage broker, or a lead-generation front. We don't take instructions from sellers and we don't rank or push any property. Where we link to a third-party service (for example conveyancing or removals quotes) it is clearly labelled, and we say plainly if we may earn a referral fee — it never changes your price, and you're always free to choose your own provider.

Where the data comes from

Everything is built from official UK open data under the Open Government Licence, including HM Land Registry Price Paid, Police.uk, the Environment Agency, Ofsted and Get Information about Schools (DfE), the Office for National Statistics, Ordnance Survey and Royal Mail. Each section of a report names its source. Open data is published at different levels of detail: where a figure is only available for a wider postcode sector or district, we label it as such rather than implying it describes your exact postcode.

Accuracy & limits

These reports are indicative due diligence compiled from public data — a strong starting point, not a substitute for a regulated property search, a survey, or professional advice. Government datasets also lag (Land Registry by a few months, for instance), so we show when each was last updated. If you spot something wrong, please tell us at hello@landdata.uk.
